One of the Pearl District’s newest residents, Thara Memory, was moving into his new condo in the Pearl when a thief snatched his custom trumpet. This wasn’t any ordinary trumpet, it took 9 months to build and was was created by Dave Monette, a prominent Portland trumpet maker. Thara, who is a professional musician is devastated, saying “I can’t play right now and it kills me to even think about that.”
It happened Friday afternoon during the move, the perpetrator smashed the window and snatched the trumpet. So far a $250 rewards has been set.
