Info about this Place

The North Park Blocks, which starts roughly at NW Glisan & Park on the border of the Pearl District & Old Town-Chinatown provides a grove of trees and green space, as well as a gated children’s playground, a basketball court, and an iconic iron elephant statue, among other features. The North Park Blocks are host to numerous festivals throughout the year, including the Holiday Parade, Art Festival, and International Beer Festival. Surrounded by small businesses and apartments, locals often eat lunch outside in the North Park Blocks, which provides a sylvan sanctuary right next to bustling Burnside. The North Park Blocks are almost one hundred and fifty years old, dating back to the founding days of Portland. and were the beginning of what would have been a unified Park Blocks stretching all the way down to Portland State University.
