Info about this Place

Taking up the city block of NW 10th & 11th and NW Johnson & Kearney in the Pearl District, Jamison Square features a popular water instillation, which serves as a wading pool during the hot summer months. Ironically, the water instillation was planted in Jamison Square to deter skateboarders and prevent erosion in the park. Jamison Square is named for Pearl District visioneer & art gallery owner William Jamison, who passed away in 1995 from complications due to AIDS. In addition to the water instillation, Jamison Square features 30 foot totems called Tikitotmoniki, along with room for public events like Movies in the Pearl, Pedalpalooza, and the Kids’ Marching Band.
